My partner Janette and I recently had a wish granted of a weekend in London. We got to visit many of the sights, including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, the House of Commons and Downing Street.
It was the first time I had stayed in London and it took my mind off things, especially as the following week I had hospital appointments and scans booked for the next stage in my bowel cancer treatment.
The Euston Square hotel where we stayed was very nice, and also close to train and tube stations, although it took a bit of time to navigate the tubes, we got there in the end!
I would like to thank Purple Heart Wishes for arranging such a lovely weekend.

Since my diagnosis we haven't been able to do much as a family and it was just so wonderful to be able to do something that we all loved so much, all being big Harry Potter fans! I just wanted to leave some feedback for Purple Heart Wishes for helping me and my little family, to grant a wish of accommodation in an apartment so we could have a small holiday in Blackpool for 4 nights. Due to me having stage 4 cancer. I want to make as much memories as I can with my children before my time is up, which fingers crossed is not anytime soon. My family need me. I don't want to go!
Going to Blackpool was one of the things I really wanted to do to, with my partner and 4 children. To be able to watch them all enjoying themselves and making memories.

Thanks to Purple Heart Wishes, Julian had one of the best days of his life. Seeing Steve Vai (his favourite guitarist) play, from one of the best seats in the London Palladium - he could never have imagined it could be possible.
Having something so special to look forward to when illness can make life really tough was a real blessing and a great encouragement to press on in spite of everything. And now it is a great adventure to look back on and to talk about, as he was given a tee-shirt and other souvenirs of Steve’s world tour, Julian will no doubt relive the excitement for many months to come. So he sends his heartfelt thanks to Purple Heart Wishes, and to everyone who has helped to make his wish come true.
My fabulous colleague and friend Laura applied for a wish for our family to be able to have some much needed fun. Unfortunately my husband (Jason) having undergone both chemotherapy & immunotherapy which has now stopped working, means that simple things like a trip to the cinema have been difficult…….. so Purple Heart Wishes arranged for the cinema to come to us!
Our 12 year old twins invited some friends round and we had a wonderful outdoor cinema experience! We also enjoyed a box full of treats that you sent, which didn’t help our waistlines but went down very well! Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make this happen!

My son Adam has always supported Arsenal and dreamed of going to watch them play at home and of course win! On 13th August 2022 his dream finally came true thanks to Purple Heart Wishes.
It started with a phone call out the blue a couple of months earlier from Purple Heart Wishes to say they wanted to help Adam's dream come true.
I found out that Lucy, a lovely Learning Disability nursing assistant had contacted the charity regarding Adam. Adam has had a life time of difficulties due to having Autism amongst other things, and as a child he couldn't cope with so many things but his love of football shone through.
In December 2021 I found out that Adam had terminal cancer. We told him after his birthday in January when he turned 33. We met the Learning Disability nurses who supported Adam and still do with hospital appointments etc. He told Lucy he always dreamed he would see Arsenal play at home and win.
After the initial phone call from PHW’s where they explained they would do their very best for Adam I wasn't sure it would happen but it did.
The phone calls from Mark PHW’s Wish Granter to the wonderful lady Jacquie, at Arsenal keeping me updated how things were going was unbelievable. I told Adam and he was so pleased. PHW’s managed to get three tickets for Adam and two carers to go with him. I couldn't believe how it all happened and how hard Purple Heart Wishes worked to make it just right for Adam.
Adam's health deteriorated but they said not to worry there would be a wheelchair ready for Adam when he got out the car. They sorted out with Jacquie at Arsenal that Adam could park at the stadium as he had a blue badge. Everything that needed to be done was done to make Adam's day a day he would treasure. It certainly was a day Adam and his carers who are also Arsenal supporters, will never forget.
His needs were met in every way. It was incredible, the care that was shown to us. Purple Heart Wishes get 100+% from Adam, myself and his carers. They fulfilled with the help of Arsenal a day I will never forget let alone Adam. My boy came through the door with such a smile on his face, it made me cry to see him happy for once. He was totally exhausted but he told me they won.
Adam thanked Mark personally on the phone and the lovely Jacquie, at Arsenal. This wonderful charity not only got Adam to see his team play, but they won as well. Arsenal sent Adam a lovely letter signed by the manager plus an item signed by the players. When the time comes we will in a small way try to repay Purple Heart Wishes for the kindness, care, compassion and most of all, giving my darling son a gift he will cherish till the end, to see his Arsenal play at home and he was there in the crowd watching it happen.
On top of everything else, on the day of the match I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the team at Purple Heart Wishes. We want to thank Purple Heart Wishes and Arsenal football club for making a dream come true at last for Adam. We will never forget your kindness, it makes you see there are still kind caring people in this world
As a family, we just wanted to say thank you so much for our amazing trip to Legoland with an overnight stay in the resort hotel.
We all had the most amazing time and can’t thank you enough. The stay at the Legoland hotel was particularly special as it isn’t something we would usually spend money on, as it is expensive but the kids thought it was amazing!
It’s a shame there aren’t more charities like Purple Heart Wishes that do such fabulous work and make such an impact on families like ours, we are so incredibly grateful to you. It’s wonderful to know our children will have such great memories to look back on with both their Mum and Dad. Thank you again!
Alton Towers, May 2022. The children had an excellent time going from ride to ride, only occasionally stopping for a snack and a drink. All the while Sophie, her Mum and Dad and I sat drinking tea and eating doughnuts in the sunshine.
When our son, Cohen finished riding Oblivion and ran over to me with a huge smile on his face and he jumped into my open arms to give me a huge hug, it made the whole (painful and exhausting) day, entirely worth it. That’s it, that’s the #memory right there.

Purple Heart Wishes have been a great source of love and support over the past few months. Purple Heart Wishes, gave us the opportunity of getting a beautiful keepsake, of bespoke fingerprint jewellery, in loving memory of Diane, for her children.
Thanks to Purple Heart Wishes, Terrie, two family friends and I were treated to a wish by visiting the TV set of Emmerdale.
We have been lifelong fans and to see the actual set was amazing. We got to visit all the familiar places we see on the TV, had our photos taken outside of the Woolpack Pub and Terrie was presented with photos of Paddy, Sam and Noah.
Terrie absolutely loved every minute, it was a dream come true for her.
We are so grateful to Purple Heart Wishes for granting us this wonderful time together, we got to make lots of memories.
